	2 - GULMIT People are of Tajik origin. This was the summer residence of the Mir of Hunza, today the administrative headquarter of Upper Hunza. Wheat and potatoes are grown. Apples are in abundance. Spring is charming. Tajik Cultural Museum is very small but worth visiting. Hotel facilities are available. There are few short walks around it, as shown on the map.

	3 - PASSU One of the oldest settlement sites in Gojal (Upper Hunza), lies between Batura & Passu Glaciers. The people are Ismailies of Tajik origin. In the beginning they had their own mirs/rajas but later on they came under the control of the Mirs of Hunza. They uprose twice against Hunza rulers but could not succeed. Around Passu, there are several short and long trekking routes (shown on the map). Good hotels are availabale here. PWD resthouse is bookable at Gilgit.
